Hi I'm Ramy.
I first came to Dahab in 1995 as a Tourist and fell in love with the place. I discovered that there were so many different kinds of people here from all nationalities.
At that time Dahab was a community of small tented camps, without electricity! I worked in diving by day and washed dishes by night. That way I began to save money and eventually with the help of my brothers we opened a small tented camp which we called Alaska and from there we grew.
Back then Dahab Bay was very quiet in the area from The Lighthouse to The Bank and very dark at night. I noticed there was a derelict Bazaar and after making a few enquiries and a little negotiation, Ahmed, Sabry and I set about turning it into Yalla Bar.
Once again it was very hard work, but that was nothing new! Anyway after a couple of months we eventually opened. It wasn't long before the bar became a very popular place with the tourists and because we stayed open late into the night, the business grew. Soon other business around us started to follow our lead and the area from The Lighthouse to The Bank became busier and brighter. With Yalla Bar at its heart!

Hi I'm Sabry.
I first arrived in Dahab back in 1997. Ramy had told me about the place and I was curious to see it for myself. After a little while I started a small business renting bicycles which was not bad. In 1998, I was called to the the army, so I sold my small business and joined. After two years my army service was complete and I returned to Dahab to help Ramy and Ahmed. My role is to make sure all our supplies for both Yalla and Alaska are here when we need them. This means working at both businesses, which can be a little hectic, but great fun. And that's what Yalla Bar is all about. FUN!!!
Hi I'm Ahmed.
I came to Dahab in 1999 to help Ramy prepare and open the camp. Just like he said, in those days Dahab was without electricity.
I remember that the only form of lighting we had were candles. We worked very hard to open the camp and in 2001 we opened for business.
When Yalla Bar came along, it soon became clear that one of us should take on the responsibility for its day to day running. So this is me, I manage the bar and staff and enjoy every minute of it.
When you come to Dahab, please come and join us, I guarantee you will love our bar and restaurant. Yalla!!!!!
